Welcome to this Cloud Wars Agent and Copilot Update. In these discussions, I’ll be analyzing opportunities, impact, and outcomes possible with AI; today’s focus is Copilot Studio’s Computer Use feature, including a demo of how to build an agent.

Highlights

00:16 —  A new feature in Copilot Studio called Computer Use allows Copilot agents to interact with computers by clicking, typing, and navigating apps. It enables agents to interact with any app, even those without connectors or APIs — a significant leap in automation. I’m demonstrating how to create an agent that can search Wikipedia, find an article, and provide a link to the article.

01:07 —  The hosted browser feature requires minimal setup and navigates the public web like a real user. I’m showing how to create a new agent in Copilot Studio called “Wikipedia Article Finder Agent” and describing its purpose. This involves using English-language instructions.

02:12 — It’s important to check the “use hosted browser” checkbox and configuring the tool. Then add a description for the tool, such as “Navigate Wikipedia for a given subject and extract article summary.”

03:52 —  You test the agent by clicking the “Test” button and entering a subject, such as “Aurora Borealis.” The agent converts the input into a concise card with the article title, summary, and a hyperlink to the Wikipedia article. This demonstrates Copilot Studio’s evolution from responding to taking action.

04:30 —  This his is just the beginning of Copilot Studio’s capabilities. As Microsoft expands these features, Copilot agents will not only understand intent but also take action on it.

AI Agent & Copilot Summit is an AI-first event to define opportunities, impact, and outcomes with Microsoft Copilot and agents. Building on its 2025 success, the 2026 event takes place March 17-19 in San Diego. Get more details.
