Traditional automation struggles with the variety of questions people can ask, often failing to understand the intent behind the questions. Orchestration, on the other hand, can handle spontaneous questions and provide answers in different ways than what is programmed.
01:45 — The importance of orchestration is growing as businesses build various AI agents for different processes. Orchestration helps manage the flow of context, error recovery, and handoffs between AI agents.
02:53 — There are different orchestration paths available in the Microsoft ecosystem, depending on the complexity of the problem. For enterprise-grade workflows, I recommend Azure Logic Apps, which include APIs, triggers, and connectors. For coordinating multi-agent systems, look to Azure AI Foundry Agent Service, which offers memory planning and reasoning capabilities. For low-code orchestration, choose Power Automate and Copilot Studio.
04:06 — There’s also the need to consider external frameworks like Lang Chain, Semantic Kernel, and CrewAI for using multiple agents to reason over entire processes. These frameworks help bridge connected intelligence into workflows, moving from rule-based automated processes to agent-based handoffs.
