In a recent interview with Cloud Wars Founder Bob Evans and Acceleration Economy Editor-in-Chief Tom Smith, Charles Lamanna, Corporate Vice President, Business Apps and Platform, Microsoft explains how generative AI and Microsoft Copilots help increase productivity.

Highlights

00:01 — In its most recent earnings report, Microsoft announced that it has crossed over $5 billion in revenue in the last 12 months, across Dynamics 365 and its low-code offerings. Microsoft has capabilities for CRM, ERP, and CDP, as well as offerings for Power Apps and Power Automate.

00:34 — “We’ve come a long way at Microsoft, really building this portfolio, and now we’re seeing fairly amazing growth.” Every single category across Microsoft’s business applications portfolio is gaining market share each quarter, “which is something that really has been made possible because of all the amazing things that are happening around generative AI” and how it fits within Microsoft Cloud.

01:00 — Looking to the future, there is still much left to do, explains Lamanna. One of the areas of generative AI that has the most potential to improve productivity and support customers is Copilots.”It’s a way to bring AI to people’s fingertips without having to go replace the system of record.”
